Silver Founder Academy is expanding the resources, adding articles, podcasts and topics regarding starting a business after the age of 50. No doubt the information is relevant to all entrepreneurs interested in moving their ideas from dreams to reality.
For anyone who has chosen to start a business, the decision is both exciting and daunting. Contrary to the notion that all an entrepreneur needs in order to succeed is grit, two-thirds of businesses survive 2 years in business, half of all businesses will survive 5 years, and one-third survive 10. Three top reasons for these somewhat discouraging statistics are:
- the failure to meet a market need,
- the competition is fierce, with over 500,000 businesses launched each month in the US, and
- the lack of necessary funding.
The good news? Abundant resources are available for the new entrepreneur. And over 50% of small businesses survive at least 5 years. With all the resources available to a new entrepreneur, the process still holds enormous risks. And often, the new entrepreneur does not utilize all of the resources available, often because the resources are not easily accessible.
As Silver Founder Academy library of resources grow, I hope you will find them useful and relevant to your needs. Please let me know what you’d like to see, and what resources you need to help you on your way to becoming a successful business owner.
